The 3 Hour Overview Consultation provides a summary of the admissions process for students applying to college, high school, law school or graduate school.

Generally covered:

  • Explain the overall admissions process and how universities will view your student’s qualifications (standardized test scores, transcript/curriculum, extracurricular activities, employment, academic enrichment programs and honors, hobbies/talents.)
  • Provide guidance in selecting an appropriate, challenging high school curriculum.
  • Suggest relevant supplemental programs to develop areas of resume weakness.
  • Provide a general timeline for scheduling standardized test, campus visits, suggested supplemental programs and extracurricular/leadership activities.
  • Provide an overview of the application essay process and suggest qualities your student may choose to emphasize in his essays.
  • Supplement your possible schools list with additional suitable suggestions.

This 3-hour session can generally be expanded on a pro-rated hourly basis.

The 10-hour package is primarily for those students who have already decided on their college selections. The package allows time for basic preparation of a quality application for a few specific schools. This package does not allow sufficient time to provide detailed guidance on specifics of the application process on a school-by-school basis.

If the student is just beginning his college search and needs more focused guidance, the family should consider either the 20-hour or PREMIUM Package.

  • Evaluate material submitted prior to the first meeting: transcript, curriculum, extracurricular activities, standardized test scores, honors and leadership positions.
  • Provide a timeline for scheduling additional standardized tests, campus visits, and essay preparation.
  • Supplement your possible schools list with additional suitable suggestions.
  • Determine an appropriate Early Action/Early Decision strategy for the schools selected.

  • Work with the student to select essay topics that will highlight his strengths and reflect his personality.
  • Edit essays for the primary applications.
  • Assist with the preparation of an easy-to-read expanded resume and relevant application supplements.
  • Prepare your child for on campus and alumni interviews.
  • Organize a schedule for meeting application deadlines. Help the student stay on task, focused and organized to meet those deadlines.

This 10-hour package can generally be expanded to the 20-hour or PREMIUM Package on a prorated basis.
